This healthy Moong Dal Khichdi is made from split moong dal-yellow lentils (with skin or without) and rice. It is supposed to be little mushy in texture. It is not like rice or pulao or biryani. Not even a single grain is separated, so basically it has melt in your mouth kind texture.
